I have been with audible for a long time. It just blew my mind that when I cancelled my subscription I didnt have access to my books, that I OWN and PAID FOR if I havent already downloaded them. I searched the web and found this program that was recommended to me thrue my online community. I can now save my audiobooks, I uploaded them to my drive and I have access to them wherever, whenever and on whatever device I want. Changing phone? No problem, my audiobooks are there. Absolutely love openaudible and you will too!

I have been using OpenAudible for over 3 years. I have been very happy with it. It is easy to setup and use. It allows me to listen to my audio books how I want to and on the device I want to. With OpenAudible I really own my books. My books are on my hard drive in the format I want, and they cannot be taken from me. If you use Audible you should use OpenAudible.

Open Audible is great! I have had so much trouble with the Audible app (as well as the Spotify app) but now I can download my audiobooks and use them with another app. I love it!

I have used Open Audible for a year so far and have found it to be ideal for downloading and converting my Audible purchases. The main reason I use it is so that I can listen to my audiobooks on my smartphone using audiobook players (Sirin, Listen Audiobook Player). It is a simple process to download and convert the book using OpenAudible then transfer it to my phone. A wonderfully intuitive and painless piece of software!

I have been with Audible for over 20 years and have quite the number of there programs. I like the flexibility of saving the programs in my choice of audio format without having to install other programs to clutter up my system. Now with OpenAudible I'm able to have the files in one folder along with the pdf file that I never seem to be able to read when I need to. It just makes it simple and works.

I have been a very happy user of OpenAudible for the last three years. It's very easy to set up and use and gives me the opportunity to play the books I have purchased in far more places. My car USB will not recognise Audible files, but with OpenAudibe conversions, I can now listen to my favourite books on long car journeys.

This is Awesome! I often travel abroad, and an internet connection isn't always available. This allows me to store my books as mp3 files and play anywhere. I know the audible app is available, but sometimes it isn't what I need - this, on theother hand is exactly what I need!

I do love the OpenAudible app, reassuring being able to keep a backup of your audio books, and also use them offline with your own home network, the audible connection with Sonos can be flakey - being able to play as mp3 makes it easier. Also being able to use other audio books on phones like BookPlayer is great.

I use openAudible so that I can listen to my Audible books on an alternate iPhone app, that is not constantly spying on me, like the Audible app. It is also important to me that openAudible can create backups of books, and that these backups will ALWAYS work, even if Amazon decides to cancel my account. OpenAudible installation and initial setup was very easy. OpenAudible has met my expectations for capabilities, and exceeded my expectations for ease of use.

OpenAudible FAR exceeds even my most optimistic expectations, in too many ways to really explain. It is VERY professional and polished. It runs quickly. It interfaces smoothly with my Audible account. It easily goes back and updates any additions to books already downloaded, such as new artwork or descriptive material. All of this and it is extremely fast in my opinion, a strength tested when I finally decided to add 500+ of my books, using PCs that were "new" when Windows 7 was brand new! The two times that I needed support, I had contact back from the support team within less than an hour. He was truly helpful, pleasant, and clearly knew the program inside and out. (Both issues related to my unusual in-home network setup limping along on a kluged WiFi/Ethernet setup.) I do not write glowing reviews but this is an amazing tool. By the way, I also found and now swear by Smart Player and it's almost-free "paid" version, which has all the nice features that the official Audible player lacks (including a sleep safety net that resets with just a shake of your phone!). And, sadly, yes, I feel that Audible has really been going downhill ever since Amazon bought it. But, that's another story.

I've used this for prob over 3 years now.

I have a library of several thousand audiobooks from a wide variety of sources, including Audible, which are impossible to manage traditionally without good software which can handle the variety of formats and accompanying files such as pdfs. OpenAudible is by far and away that software, able to accomdate externally sourced files as well as audiobooks from Audible itself - nothing else come close to it's flexibility, ease of use and range. And it's easy to use, forgiving of my sometimes clumsy mistakes and never seems to fall over.
I'm very happy with OpenAudible - I only wish there was a similarly functional software for my library of classical textbased books.

I honestly do not know what I would do without OpenAudible to manage my audiobooks. The interface is clean, easy to navigate and use. For a long time I relied on Calibre, but was never fully pleased. I no longer have to deal with that!

I really enjoy OpenAudible. It´s an easy to use software, installation and initial setup worked without any problems. I tried another software for converting audible audiobooks, but this one meets my expectations. I use it especially for converting my audible files in mp3 to listen to on my MP3-Player.

Open Audible has been a lifesaver for converting and organizing Yoto cards for my children. My favorite feature is the ability to split large audiobook files into chapters so my little ones don't get too overwhelmed.

I absolutely love OpenAudible! Audible does not have an official app for my Galaxy Watch, so if I want to listen to my books off of my watch during my morning run, I'm out of luck. Or I would've been, but luckily, OpenAudible allows me to convert the books to MP3 files, which I can then play off of the watch. Definitely worth the purchase!

I have been using OpenAudible for 3 years now and it was one of the better software purchases I've made in the last half decade. The devs are responsive to any identified issues and quick to issue fixes. The interface is polished and allows for a lot of configurability in both looks and function.

Most importantly I feel like I have a complete control of my Audible library while not being bound to proprietary interfaces or forced to into making operating platforms choices to enjoy the products I paid for. I have been using OpenAudible for two years now and it has always worked perfectly. First I was a bit concerned it might stop working due to updates on the audible-side of things, but it soon became clear that the team behind OpenAudible was staying on top of any changes since it always worked without problems. To me this has been a really nice way to be able to listen to my books with other software on unsupported (old) devices an OS and also to aggregate my library, since I have two audible subscriptions in different zones.

OpenAudible is wonderful. It has presented no problems syncing with my library and converting the books to mp3 format. This has allowed me to use my favorite players on Android, Windows, and Linux to listen and organize my books. I have run OpenAudible on both Windows 10 and Fedora Linux. Installation and connecting the account are simple.

With the annual license being less than the cost of the average audio book, it is a real no-brainer.

I have been using Open Audible for a few years now, It is a fantastic program! There are many options that I like to use, the splitting books for example. I use this every time because I like having the audio split so I am able to easily keep track of each book part. The login for Audible is super simple and fast as well and it does a good job letting you know what books you own and which ones are barrowed. I am very happy with it!

OpenAudible is fantastic for taking your audiobooks anywhere you go! I use it to convert my books to MP3, and then upload them to my cloud storage so I have full access to them wherever I am: on the coast, in the country, and anywhere in between. I also love OpenAudible's sort feature which allows me to sort by length to plan for listening while on the road, whether it is a short book for a short drive, or a book that will end at the conclusion of a long trip across state lines. Updated on IMAC with Version 3.9.5 - excellent update, the version is clean, easy to understand and fully functional. This is easily the bast way to manage a large or small library of Audible purchases and other non-Audible books. Great product, good price and excellent support

I've been using OpenAudible for 3-4 years and find it an excellent appilcation. It was/is very easy to install & setup and integrates exceptionally well with Audible. Offering both MP3 & M4b conversions it allows playback on a variety of applications/devices. Personally for me it is a Godsend as I cannot get Apple books to talk to Audible for authorisation, ending up in an authorsation loop. Neither Apple or Audible are of any help with this, OpenAudible allows me to convert .AAX to either MP3 or M4b files allowing access to files that would othersie only be listened to via the Audible app. I would certainly recommed OpenAudible to other audio listeners as a first class audio application.

OpenAudible allowed me to curate amazing content for my children's mp3 player. Without OpenAudible, my kids were dependent on me to play their books from my phone, but OpenAudible allowed me to migrate our content to my computer which gave me the freedom to add the titles to their players. This has been a game changer our our family.

Installation and implementation was very easy. Linking to my Audible account took no time at all. I like taking multi-file audiobooks and putting them into one file through OpenAudible. I also use its file structure to simply transfer to my NAS

So easy to organize keep track of your Audible library, and to know you have a local copy of everything you've purchased. Syncs flawlessly and super easy to search and sort by fields such as release date, date purchased, genre, author, duration. Also, downloads all PDF files that are included with certain Audible books - these are automatically synced and downloaded and can be displayed and sorted as a separate list rather than wading through your computers download files. Best of all, automatic syncing and upgrades and fixes each year. If you think of what you have invested in your audiobook library - spend a small amount to keep it safe, and most of all handy to enjoy without a hassle.

I used to love being able to download my audio books to some of my legacy mobile devices and phones, but since audible discontinued supporting some devices ( I use a Sansa Fuze) I have been unable to use the audio book functions. This program brings back that functionality so that I can continue using many of the devices I still have and would prefer to continue to use!

As a linux user OpenAudible has been an invaluable tool to make mp3 backups of my book purchases. I wouldn't have the flexibility of mp3's otherwise. OpenAudible also downloads very fast, whearas the Audible app itself tends to load only enough to start listening, then will speed up after a long period of waiting. The gtk interface is simple and clean and works as expected. OpenAudible is well worth the purchase.

I’ve been a loyal user of OpenAudible for years and have never encountered any issues. The installation process is straight forward. You’re not bombarded with all sorts of affiliate offers to trial other programs.

Having unrestricted access to the audio books I’ve paid for is what keeps me subscribed. If I want to listen to an audio book on my phone, Echo dot, micro recorder etc. I can thanks to OpenAudible. Pays for itself the very first time you use it. You won't find a better audio book manager on the web.

As someone who is blind and uses a Screen Reader, OpenAudible has been fantastic! It is completely accessible using Jaws, NVDA, or Narrator; I primarily use Jaws. I have an app on my phone that I prefer to listen to books on that cannot access Audible books, so converting to MP3 works perfectly! I highly recommend OpenAudible for anyone who would rather use a different player than Audible's own.

OpenAudible is an invaluable tool for me personally. I often listen to audio books in the car when I'm driving for long periods. Since it was always too annoying for me to connect the cell phone to the radio first and then have to operate everything on the cell phone, I was looking for a solution that worked just like before. Ignition on, CD continues to play exactly where it left off.

During my search, I came across OpenAudible. The program is awesome and is incredibly practical for managing Audible audiobook collections (download and everything is available offline).

With OpenAudible it is also possible to export the audiobooks as MP3s while retaining the chapters. Burned onto a CD, you can easily listen to them again in the car. Even old MP3 players such as iPod Shuffle etc. can be used again.

This is a legit life saver for a family who want to share there library. Have each family member sign in, load the library, then sign out without saving any credentials. Being an Audible customer for over eight years now, I wanted to backup my purchases and store them for a couple of weeks where I would not have internet connectivity. So I searched online and found openAudible. Though taking some time in the end every book was downloaded, split into chapters and saved offline. The perfect tool for digital detox!

I have always wanted to link audible and my Garmin watch, and this allows me to do that very easily. I highly recommend this app to get the connnection to the watch you need.

Open Audible has been an outstanding way for me to put Audible books on my kids MP3 players. It's better than the full app where they could order books by mistake that I don't approve of or that would burn through my credits by mistake. I tried to complete the conversion on my own unsuccessfully and stumbled on OpenAudible when it is was donationware. It's been worth every penny when it went paid as well. You should be able to keep things you purchase and not have to convert but that's just my opinion

I spent years trying finding ways to download and manage my audiobook library but there never seemed to a good, easy, straight forward solution. Until, that is, I found OpenAudible. It's multi-platform, easy to install, and easy to use. All you need is to click and let it do its thing. If you want to take control of your audiobook library, OpenAudible is the easiest and best way to do it.

I use OpenAudible to convert my audiobooks to audio files I can play across numerous devices without having to access the Audible app. I live in a very remote area and due to the nature of my work cannot always carry a phone or other internet connected device. Also converting them to audio files I can copy them to a usb drive and listen in my truck. This is the best application ever created for Audible audio files.

I've also had to request tech support on a couple of occasions and have always received prompt, helpful replies.

I downloaded OpenAudible to access audiobooks on my Garmin Watch. The app has worked perfectly with no quirks. I can easily download the files and transfer them. I've used the app for my devices and my families. It has worked with seamlessly with a Fenix 5, ForeRunner 945, Venu 2s, ForeRunner 965 and Fenix 7 Pro. The audio downloads at the same quality and the app is easy and intuitive to use!

Everyone who’s fond of Audible audiobooks, should get a copy of Openaudible. It gives you so much more access to your audiobooks.

Openaudible is one of my most favorite apps. It’s very user friendly. Installation is quick and easy. I love the option of keeping the previous version, so you can always test the newest version and return to the older one if you want. It’s easy to use. Menus are clear and uncluttered. There are regular new updates, so Openaudible keeps on getting better.

But most of all, of course, Openaudible is great for downloading audiobooks and converting them to MP3 and M4B-files. I use Openaudible on both a Windows-platform and on MacOs. Openaudible even runs on Windows 7, which I very much appreciate.

OpenAudible is a life-saver! Its user-friendly interface and impressive functionality allow me to access books I own that are no longer available on Audible. It's a book lover's dream, offering a seamless experience for downloading, managing and organizing audiobooks. I love being able to back up my Audible books with OpenAudible, especially after Audible removed the version of one of my favourite books narrated by an excellent narrator and replaced it with a version I like much less. Although I still have access to the original on Audible for now, if something were to happen to their file I may be forced to use the new version. Now, with OpenAudible, I can be confident that I have my own copy of the original version, safely stored for the future.

Open Audible is exactly what I needed and have been using it for years, it lets me manage my audio books in one place and if anything happens I will have a copy of my audiobooks. It lets me listen to the audio books on my different devices without having to be connected to the internet. I highly recommend this program.

Initial setup was fast and easy.

I'm using it to load my books on my watch while I go running. The feature to split the book by chapter is really useful - it's easier to remember what chapter you were listening to rather then at what time in a 10 hours book.

You sometimes have to reconnect to Audible and key in your credentials.
The inteface is simple but it does the job.

I have used OpenAudible for over a year now (it may be two). It has improved markedly in this time and, paired with my Mac M2 Silicon, it performs its task at high speed and seamlessly - there have been no errors. i used it to back up my audible library in m2b format through download and conversion - I have used others prior to this, but none had the ease of use and or the low cost of this application. Such local archiving is, I believe, prudent, as sometime historic titles vanish from Audible's catalogue. A great investment!

Although audible has quite an impressive app that covers (almost) all my needs for taking audiobooks with me, there are still some gaps.
Mostly offline security. I bought those audiobooks and would like to keep (and listen to) offline copies for safekeeping or for offline listening without the audible's native app or for privacy reasons...

And openAudible bridges all those gaps. It literally "opens Audible" up so I can enjoy the content I have paid for to the full extend.

I've found this app invaluable in being able to transfer my purchased Audible content onto MP3 cards/playlists readable by my young son's Yoto Player. Its great!

This software is great for backing up my audible library. It is easy to use and is always being updated! I have not found anything that works as well as this does!

Audible is not an infinite resource. Companies come and go. When (not if) Audible concludes their business, what happens to all of the audiobooks you've purchased? Thanks to OpenAudible I don't have to worry about this problem. Now I own what I own. Reasonable backups, not to share with others, is something that people have lost sight of, but not me. OpenAudible helps me secure my purchases so that I never have to worry.

I really find this a valuable asset. I have over a thosand books from an account at audible.com and another account at audible.co.uk. I have both accounts because sometimes co.uk will have the book and .com wont due to regional issues. I also like to keep a generic mp3 version. I have had audible change their formats over time, ie. from .aa to .aax. I also do not like their current app for playing books on the old cellphone I use as I used to use an Apple ipod. I have my own library system with Python and C utilities I have written to manage it. I use Smart AudioBook Player to listen on an old Samsung phone.

I love OpenAudible. It is a very clever software package that helps me to organize my growing collection of audiobooks from Audible (and other sources). It allows me to store the audio books locally and to convert them so that they can be used by other Apps (e.g. that can only use MP3). It is fast and efficient.

OpenAudible allowed me to actually treat my purchased audiobooks as though I owned them. I could all of a sudden, play them anywhere I had an mp3 player, and was no longer chained to the audible app for listening. For the price of less than a single audiobook, it actually let me own my books.

It is absolutely amazing to be able to take my hard-earned and paid for audio books and be able to port them in whatever format I choose and listen to them on the device of my choice. Once an asset is paid for, fair use should permit one to listen to the file at their lesure, without the restrictrions of having to download an app. Bravo!

Open Audible is extremely quick and easy to install and setup, including logging in, which features browser and non-browser options as well as legacy sign in. With a variety of options and conversions between formats, OpenAudible continues to exceed your expectations as the only software I use to manage my Audible books offline and locally on my device for backup, should my account ever be compromised.
I've also enjoyed splitting books by chapter to have smaller audio clips for reference.

This worked extremely well to get my Audible Kids purchases onto Yoto cards. My kids say thank you!

OpenAudible has been a lifesaver! When I first used it I was impressed with how quickly and easily it downloaded and converted my Audible library. But for the past few months it's been even better - I haven't been able to log into my Audible account on my phone (and the Amazon helpdesk has been useless), so I can't download any books I buy. The best audiobooks manager I've ever tried! Easy to download and install, supports multiple libraries, conversion to mp3 or m4a, downloads content for offline listening, plus it creates a web page with all my audiobooks, to name a few of its characteristics. I have an extensive collection of audiobooks and OpenAudible has made it easy to find what I want to listen to anytime, withouth having to navigate multiple pages in my official library website.

I decided to download openAudible. My laptop is quite old, but it was worth the try. All worked without problems. Guidance and software layout are good, a user receives results very easy and in short time. I was able to save my favorits on CD to share them with friends. I've been using OpenAudible for a couple years now. I am totally blind and, for obvious reasons, love audiobooks. I've been an audiobook reader since before audiobooks were cool. I've also been an Audible subscriber for at least 15 years.

However, much as I love my iPhone, I sometimes have need to put my books on some other kind of portable player, so I needed an easy way to convert them to a standard format for my own use. I needed something that would work on the Mac, and I needed a program that would work with VoiceOver, the screen reading software used on the Mac. OpenAudible was one of only a couple of solutions that I found I could use to convert my books, at a reasonable price. I've found it pretty easy to navigate, with reliable and fairly quick conversions. I've had no problems with the program, and it has enabled me to enjoy more audiobooks beyond the use of my iPhone. And since I also prefer my books split by chapter, I've found that OpenAudible does a great job with splitting my books for easier navigation. A definite recommend from me.

This app is Amazing! Over 15 years of Audible membership I've built a library of nearly 600 books. Backing up in a format that was easy to use anywhere was always a problem due to the Audible DRM. I found out about OpenAudible on a Redit post and immediately bought it. It's a life saver. I was expecting a simple point to file and convert function but the fact that it connects to Audible and your library and downloads everything blew me away. 10/10.

We use waterproof MP3 players in the pool when we swim laps. Unfortunately Audible audiobooks don't work so we need to use OpenAudible to convert the Audible files to mp3s. It works great and makes it so much more fun to go to the gym!

Great stuff - works guaranteed!

OpenAudible has been great for being able to use the households audiobook purchases how we want. Having purchased an extensive library from audible and having various audiobooks dotted around, I discovered an amazing iOS app called book player which allows us to airplay and CarPlay but I wasn’t able to use these with audible. Now here comes openaudible, making this easy by removing the drm so I can use my purchases as I wish. I was also able to create Yoto cards for the little ones using open audible. So it is a great tool!

Finally my Audible books have been freed! OpenAudible is easy to use, fast, and even has options like combining audio files.

I have greatly appreciated Open Audible. My children use yoto players for quiet time and/or travel, and this has been a very necessary software to ensure they have access to their favorite titles. Would highly recommend!

I have over 150 books on Audible and while I love their platform, I am keen to combine them with my Apple book library. I can say this, OpenAudible was the answer! not only did it allow me to download my entire library at once, but it also provided the conversion tools I needed!

Very easy and straightfoward. I'm running Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS on a Lenovo ThinkPad P51. Just downloaded the *.deb file and installed it with: "sudo apt install ./OpenAudible_3.3_x86_64.deb"
It runs well, right out of the box, with easy prompts and links to the Get Started documentation.

I've been using OpenAudible for a longer time now, and I'm really happy with it. The installation and initial setup were very easy, and the software met or exceeded my expectations.

I was looking for a way to download my audiobook library from Audible so that I could listen to them on my phone and other devices. OpenAudible made this process really easy. I just connected my Audible account to OpenAudible, and it was able to find all of my audiobooks. I was able to download them in MP3 format, which is the most common format for audiobooks.

I'm now able to listen to my audiobooks on my phone, my tablet, and my computer. I can also transfer them to my MP3 player. This has been really convenient, and I'm glad I found OpenAudible.

I have been using OpenAudible for several years now. I have over 200 audio books in Audible and OpenAudible allows me to easily backup those to local machine. I have zero trust to cloud based companies as they can "upgrade" the books with different narrator or remove access to purchased items on a whim. OpenAudible allows me to own my books for real.

We have a vast audible book library that has been built up over many years and we are adding to it all the time. Because of drm and seeing some content on other platforms we have purchased become unavailable, we were concerned this might start happening with audible too. Thankfully using OpenAudible has made it easy to backup all of our audio books and even convert them into convenient formats. I have since loaded them all into our Plex server, which makes accessing the books really easy. Now anytime we add a new book to the list, OpenAudible simply detects, downloads it, and converts it effortlessly. Then I copy it to my Plex server and it is now available on all our devices without any issues. This is some of the best software I have every used that works consistently.

OpenAudible is great - gives me the peace of mind to know that even if Audible decides to make some titles unavailable in future, goes bust, or whatever - I'll always have my own library of the audiobooks I've bought and paid for with annoying DRM stripped out. The installation was easy. Setting up your profile is done by the built in explorer in a matter of seconds.
The software lets you download and backup you Audible titles, so you will never lose the books that might disappear from your library from time to time (didn't happen to me yet, but read a lot of posts from people who had that happened to them). It let you keep the file in the original Audible format and convert it to numerous formats (mp3, etc.).
I'm very satisfied with it, I use it for more than 4 years now, and have ~180 titles safely backed up.

The install of open audible was very simple and straightforward. It is very simple to setup openaudible with your audible account. Everything about the program is simple to learn & understand.. Im using the program to put my books on a waterproof device.

Quick and easy installation and easy to use. I love being able to make my audio books properly portable, with the added assurance that some future change to policy won't make a purchase inaccessible. I convert my audio books to mp3 and then put them on my phone, so I have a nice library of audio books ready to stream offline any time, any place, and without using my data or worrying about a connection to the Net.

This service works very well. The UI is very comfortable and I've never had any issues downloading and converting files. I highly recommend OpenAudible.

Re: OpenAudible I have moved away from paper books to mostly owning a listening library. The exceptions are my author-signed editions. OpenAudible is my resource for my 500+ books. Used OpenAudible for a few years including the licensed version to allow me to convert to M4B. Has allowed me to play audiobooks on devices which couldn't support the Audible app e.g. basic MP3 player, car, older tablets. Works extremely well, very fast to convert and is intuitive to use. Much more effective than other solutions I've tried. Would recommend to anyone wanting to free their Audiobook collection

I decided to quit Amazon for good, but I didn't want to lose the books I had paid for. OpenAudible was easy to install and use. It's a lifetime license, but after 1 year does not update any more. This really isn't an issue because it already has all the features I need. If you are reinstalling after your 1 year is up, you will have to install the version you originally purchased.

I am listening to my audio books via different devices (from mobile phone over tablet to TonieBox) and the possibilty to have all my audio books with me is a huge advantage over the need to be always online. Also AAX-files are quite huge and in 9 out of 10 cases the mp3-Format is more than enough (especially for the kids).

I'm using OpenAudible since years and it worked always in a proper way.
Simple installation dialog and auto conversion of aax to MP3 is the most used function.
Menus are very comfortable, and the splitting of the files works well.
I really like it and can recommend the use.

I love OpenAudible since version 2.2. It has always been a great tool for managing my library of audio books and for converting and backup of otherwise platform-dependend formats. The installation and setup is easy and splitting the books into the chapters is big plus (I used some other tool for that, until it was integrated in OpenAudible). It is really fairly priced for the lot of functions and ease of use.

The setup of the app on my Mac was quite easy! I was up and running quickly and I had access to all my Audible Audiobooks!
The app helped me sort and download the longer books and split them into chapters which made the audiobook easier to listen to in smaller chunks.
Definitely a must buy for all Audible Audiobook owners

as a linux user,we have the option to not use mainstream, and this small app,workes for me since..around 2 years now,without any issue, and easy to update.
i wouldnt change it, especially since i can sort (unread/finished/want to/dropped) so i keep my nearly 2k books in order.

I have used OpenAudible since 2020 and have found it to be a "must have" application for my computer. It has always been extremely reliable and is updated regularly to keep it up to date and running smoothly. I have just under 1400 books I have downloaded to this app. It is very easy to convert them to MP3 or M4B, or just keep as an Audible backup. On the very rare occasion I have had the need to contact support with a question, they have always responded quickly to help. I really am pleased to have discovered this app and use it as a trusted backup for my Audible purchases. It has come in handy when Audible has discontinued a book on their Website and I can just reload it from the OpenAudible backups on my computer if I want to hear it again. The quality of the conversions is quite good, and OpenAudible has never let me down. I can highly recommend it as well worth your time and money.

Even though I am an Amazon Prime member and have families set up - my wife and I weren't able to share our purchases, including audiobooks for our children. We wanted to be able to use our purchased audiobook collection in the car and found a fantastic app called Book Player which has car play support. OpenAudible was able to take our purchased audiobooks from Audible and convert them so they could be added to this CarPlay app so that we could both enjoy them whenever we wanted! A couple years ago, because Amazon made a mistake and closed my account, I lost 16 years worth of Audible purchases. While they ended up doing the right thing and restoring my purchases, it reminded me that I do not own the audiobook--I've simply rented it. And Audible says you have lifetime access to your book, but they can turn it off whenever they want. So I love having a backup copy of all the books I've purchased, under my control. I am very particular with how I like my audiobooks in my library. OpenAudible gives me the freedom to convert my audiobooks so I can maintain uniformity in my Audiobook collection. I have tried other options in the past and none that work as quickly and seamlessly as OpenAudible.

It also allows me to store my purchases in a library outside of the Audible app, which is amazing as the app does not give me the user experience I prefer.

OpenAudible has been an amazing answer for someone like me who still wishes to not always be 100% connected! In my instance I use a Lightphone and the only way to get my audiobooks onto it is to convert my audiobooks to MP3 format.
